Maentwrog

Maentwrog lies in Snowdonia's Dwyryd valley, accessible via the A496 which runs through the village connecting Blaenau Ffestiniog to Harlech. The A487 coastal route and A4085 from Porthmadog provide alternative approaches, whilst the A470 serves long-distance traffic from the east. Electric vehicle drivers will find roughly 25 fast chargers in the vicinity. The village is distinguished by Tan-y-Bwlch station, where Ffestiniog Railway's steam trains stop amidst ancient oak woods.
