Lower Slaughter lies in the Cotswolds, reached via the A429 Fosse Way through Stow-on-the-Wold, then quiet country lanes. Most visitors arrive on short drives from Bourton-on-the-Water or Stow, though longer routes come via the M40 and A40. The village sits in a sheltered valley where the River Eye flows past honey-stone cottages, and its 16th-century mill wheel still turns beside the ancient footbridge.
