Lopwell

Lopwell is a small riverside hamlet in Devon, about 8 miles north of Plymouth via the A386. The settlement sits where the River Tavy meets tidal waters, accessible through narrow country lanes that require careful driving. It's a popular spot for short trips from Plymouth and Tavistock, offering peaceful river views across to Cornwall. The notable Lopwell Dam creates a distinctive weir at the tidal limit of the River Tavy.
