Lookout Mountain, GA

Lookout Mountain straddles the Tennessee-Georgia border about seven miles from downtown Chattanooga, sitting 2,400 feet above sea level with cooler mountain temperatures year-round. Take I-24 to Exit 178, then follow the winding Lookout Mountain Scenic Highway up the eastern face, or use Ochs Highway from Chattanooga for a more direct route. The Georgia side houses Covenant College, whose campus buildings actually cross the state line into Tennessee.
