Lochgoilhead

Lochgoilhead sits at the head of Loch Goil in Argyll, surrounded by steep hills within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The most scenic route from Glasgow follows the A82 to Tarbet, then the A83 west over the Rest and Be Thankful pass before taking the B839 north. The village serves as a gateway to the Arrochar Alps and houses an outdoor education centre in a former Victorian shooting lodge that's been training young mountaineers since 1947.
