About Llangyniew

Llangyniew is a small Powys village on the A458 between Shrewsbury and Dolgellau, surrounded by the rolling hills of mid-Wales. Most visitors arrive via the A458, either from Shrewsbury (30km east) or from Snowdonia to the west, whilst local traffic uses it for connections to Llanfair Caereinion and Meifod. The medieval church contains a remarkably preserved rood screen.
