Llandderfel is a small Gwynedd village on the A494 between Corwen and Bala in the Dee Valley. Popular routes include the scenic drive from Corwen and connections to the A5 for longer journeys. The village sits beneath surrounding hills in typical Welsh upland countryside. St. Derfel's Church contains a remarkably preserved medieval rood screen with intricate Welsh oak carvings.
