Lesnes Abbey

Lesnes Abbey's 12th-century ruins occupy a hilltop site in southeast London's Bexley, easily reached from the M25 via Junction 2 and the A2, then the A2041 toward Abbey Wood. The A206 from Woolwich and A207 from Bexleyheath provide convenient local routes. The remarkably intact chapter house retains its original stone seating where medieval monks once gathered.
