Laporte, MN

Laporte is a tiny lakeside community of 71 people in Minnesota's northwoods, reached via Highway 200 from Park Rapids or Walker. Most visitors come from the Twin Cities area, about 150 miles south via Highway 371 and Highway 200. The town sits on Lake Benedict surrounded by dense forests, and operates one of the state's smallest post offices in a building that's become a local landmark.
