Lake sits just outside Yelverton on Dartmoor's edge, reached via the A386 from Plymouth (8 miles) or the A38 then A386 from Exeter. Local routes connect to Dousland and Meavy through typical Devon lanes. The village serves as a gateway to the moor's granite tors and offers access to over 100 EV charging points in the area. Lake's claim to fame is its proximity to Burrator Reservoir, built in 1898 with granite-lined channels still supplying Plymouth's water.
