About Koekenaap

Koekenaap is a small West Coast farming town in the Olifants River valley, best reached via the N7 through Klawer or Vanrhynsdorp onto the R362, with Vredendal Airport (VRE) about 35 km off for light aircraft only. Locals nip through to Lutzville (8 km) or Vredendal (31 km) daily, while visitors come from as far as Hermanus and Keimoes for the wildflower season and West Coast wine farms. Fill up before you go, EV chargers are scarce out here, and the area's known for its raisin and grape farming along the river.
