Kirkoswald is a small coastal village in South Ayrshire, reached via the A77 from Glasgow or the A719 from Ayr. The village sits on the Carrick coast with views across to Arran, close to Turnberry golf resort and Culzean Castle. It's famous as the setting for Robert Burns' "Tam o' Shanter" and houses Souter Johnnie's Cottage, the actual home of the cobbler who inspired Burns' character.
