Killywhan is a small Galloway settlement on minor roads near the Solway coast, about 15km southwest of Dumfries via the A710. The village sits among rolling hills and farmland, with Beeswing just 1km away and New Abbey 9km south. Electric vehicle charging is available at roughly 25 points in the area. The name derives from Gaelic "coille" meaning wood.
