Keshcarrigan is a quiet village on Lough Scur's shores in County Leitrim, about 15 kilometers southeast of Carrick-on-Shannon via the R280. Most visitors arrive from Dublin on the N4 then head north through Drumshanbo, while those from Sligo take the N4 southeast before turning onto local roads. The village sits in Ireland's lakeland country where gentle hills meet the Shannon waterways. The nearby Shed Distillery has made quite a name for itself with its Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, blending oriental botanicals with traditional Irish ingredients in an unusual twist on local distilling.
