Howden Dyke

England

Howden Dyke lies in the East Riding's flat countryside along the River Ouse, about 20 miles southeast of York. Most visitors arrive via the A614 from the M62, whilst locals use connections to Skelton and nearby villages. The settlement's name comes from the historic flood defences, with original earthworks still visible along the riverbank.
