From Dublin, take the M7 southwest to Portlaoise, then merge onto the M8 for another 40 kilometers. Coming from Cork, it's a straight shot north on the M8 for about an hour and a half. The village has around 19 fast charging stations, perfect for electric cars on the busy Dublin-Cork run. The place gets its name from an old coaching inn where travelers used to change horses at this very crossroads.
