Hockliffe lies on the A5 Watling Street in Central Bedfordshire, serving as a convenient stopping point between Milton Keynes and Luton. The village sits where this major Roman road intersects local routes, making it easily accessible for both long-distance travellers heading between the Midlands and London, and local traffic. London Luton Airport is 15 kilometres southeast, whilst over 300 EV charging points serve the area. The village occupies the site of a historic coaching inn on the old London to Holyhead mail route.
