The R63 is your main road, linking through to Alice, Adelaide, and further afield to Hogsback for weekend hikes in the forests. Citrus farms line the approach roads. EV charging is thin on the ground here, so juice up in Alice or Fort Beaufort before heading in. Keep an eye out for the old irrigation furrows, remnants of one of the first African land settlement schemes under British rule back in the 1830s.
