High Heaton

High Heaton lies 3km northeast of Newcastle city centre, easily reached via the A1058 Coast Road or local routes through Jesmond. The A189 provides connections to the A1 for longer journeys, whilst Newcastle International Airport sits 12km northwest. Popular drives include quick trips to the Quayside or coastal runs to Tynemouth. The area features Heaton Park's municipal golf course, dating from 1892 and still one of Newcastle's most popular public courses.
