Hankey

Hankey lies in the Gamtoos Valley, Eastern Cape, a quiet citrus-farming town on the R330 between Patensie and Humansdorp, with the N2 nearby linking through to Gqeberha and Jeffreys Bay. Locals nip through to Humansdorp for supplies, while long-haul travellers passing along the N2 toward the Cape often stop off here too. No EV chargers in town yet, so juice up in Gqeberha first. Worth knowing: Sarah Baartman is buried on a hill above the town, her remains brought home from France in 2002.
