Great Witcombe

Great Witcombe perches on the Cotswold escarpment above Gloucester, accessible via the A417 from the city or through Birdlip from the M5. The village sits among typical honey-stone Cotswold architecture with views across the Severn Vale. Most notable are the extensive remains of a Roman villa, one of Britain's largest, complete with elaborate mosaics and bath houses.
