Great Shoddesden

Great Shoddesden lies in Hampshire's chalk downland near the Wiltshire border, accessed primarily via the A338 which runs north-south through the area. The A342 provides the main east-west connection, linking to nearby Ludgershall and the military towns around Tidworth. Visitors typically approach from the M3/A303 junction or via the M4 at Hungerford, whilst locals use shorter routes connecting to Andover. The parish church houses a remarkable Norman font with 12th-century chevron carvings.
