Graafwater's a small West Coast farming town on the R364, just inland from Lamberts Bay and about 34 km from Clanwilliam, where you'll pick up the N7 if you're coming from Cape Town, roughly three hours away. Vredendal Airport is 76 km off, so most people fly into Cape Town and drive up. Wheat and rooibos country all around, and the town's name literally means "grave water," from an old well dug near unmarked graves on the trekker route.
