Goathurst Common

Goathurst Common lies in the Kent countryside, about 25 miles southeast of London near Sevenoaks. Drivers typically reach it via the M25 to Junction 5, then the A21 south before turning onto local roads through Ide Hill. The settlement sits amongst the gently rolling chalk hills of the North Downs, surrounded by mixed woodland and traditional common land. The village pond, still bordered by centuries-old oak posts from its original wooden railings, remains the focal point where livestock once watered.
