Glyncoed lies in the South Wales Valleys near Ebbw Vale, surrounded by former mining communities like Beaufort and Newchurch. The A4046 provides main access, with the M4 about 30km east via Newport for longer journeys. Approximately 100 public EV chargers serve the area. The village sits beneath Beaufort Hill, where white wind turbines crown the ridge above the valley.
