Glenamaddy

Glenamaddy is a small market town in east County Galway, about 30 kilometers northeast of Galway city via the N63 through Mountbellew. It serves the surrounding farming community with shops and services along its main street. The town is well connected by local roads to Dunmore and Williamstown, while the M6 from Dublin links through Ballinasloe. Each August, Glenamaddy comes alive with its agricultural show in the central field, where farmers gather for livestock competitions and the whole county turns out for traditional crafts and local food.
