3About Glasshouses
Glasshouses is a small Nidderdale village reached via the B6265 from Pateley Bridge or the A59/B6165 from Harrogate. It's popular with Dales tourists heading west to Grassington and serves as a starting point for circular routes through the Yorkshire Dales. The village gets its name from Victorian glasshouses that once dotted the hillsides, taking advantage of the valley's shelter and natural springs.
