Gellilydan is a small Snowdonia village connected by the A470 trunk road, with Dolgellau 20 miles south and Betws-y-Coed 15 miles north. The A487 provides western access via nearby Maentwrog. The village sits beside the heritage Ffestiniog Railway, where steam trains still run through spectacular Welsh mountain scenery.
