Garderhouse

Garderhouse lies on Shetland's west mainland, about 25 kilometres southwest of Lerwick via the A970 and local roads. Most visitors drive from Lerwick/Tingwall Airport or the ferry terminal, taking roughly 30 minutes through typical Shetland scenery of rolling hills and stone-walled crofts. The area has around 10 public EV charging points for the growing number of electric vehicles. The settlement sits amongst several small communities connected by single-track roads with passing places, where you'll spot the island's famous dry-stone walls running in perfectly straight lines across the moorland.
