Frackville is a small Pennsylvania borough in coal country, about 100 miles northwest of Philadelphia. Take I-81 to Exit 124, then Route 61 into town. The main roads are Route 61 running north-south and Route 901 going east-west, connecting to other former mining communities. It's 45 miles north of Harrisburg and 25 miles west of Hazleton. The town sits near Centralia, the famous ghost town where an underground coal fire has burned since 1962.
