Ferriby Sluice is a small Humber-side village in North Lincolnshire, reached via the A1077 from Scunthorpe or through Barton upon Humber from the A15. The flat, agricultural landscape reflects centuries of land drainage in this part of the Lincolnshire coast. The village gets its name from the historic sluice gate that controlled water flow from the surrounding fenland into the River Humber.
