About Fassfern

Fassfern lies along Loch Eil's western shore, about 15km northeast of Fort William via the scenic A830 Road to the Isles. This Highland settlement offers splendid views across the loch toward Ben Nevis whilst serving as a gateway for journeys to Mallaig and Skye. The name derives from Gaelic "Fas Fearna," meaning "stance of the alders."
