Enterkinfoot

Enterkinfoot lies along the A76 in southern Scotland's Nith Valley, surrounded by rolling Dumfriesshire countryside. The village connects via the main north-south A76 corridor, accessible from the M74 near Thornhill. Local routes serve nearby Sanquhar and Thornhill, whilst longer journeys link to Glasgow and Edinburgh. The settlement takes its distinctive name from the historic Enterkin Pass, once used by cattle drovers crossing the Lowther Hills.
