Elkmont, AL

Elkmont is a small community of 264 people in northern Alabama's Limestone County, about 20 miles west of Huntsville via Highway 99. The town sits in the Tennessee River valley near the state line, surrounded by farmland and gentle hills. Most visitors arrive from Huntsville on a 25-minute drive north, while long-distance travelers connect through I-65 and Highway 20. Elkmont marks the northern end of Alabama Highway 99 before it crosses into Tennessee.
