Eadestown is a small County Kildare town about 40 kilometers southwest of Dublin, reached via the M7 to Junction 9 at Naas, then the R445 through Newbridge. The area is known for its championship golf courses, including the K Club which hosted the 2006 Ryder Cup. It sits on rolling countryside typical of Kildare's horse breeding territory, near the edge of the vast Bog of Allen peat bog system.
