About Drumburgh

Drumburgh is a small Cumbrian village on Hadrian's Wall, about 10 kilometers west of Carlisle via the B5307. The route crosses the flat Solway Plain with views toward Scotland across the Firth. Long-distance visitors approach via the M6 and A689. The village contains a 14th-century pele tower, one of the few surviving border fortifications still used as a residence.
