About Delvin

Delvin is a heritage town in County Westmeath, perched on elevated ground along the N52 between Mullingar and Kells. Most visitors arrive via the N52 from Dublin, taking the M4 to Kinnegad then heading north for about 15 kilometres. The town's Norman castle ruins, featuring a 12th-century motte and bailey, still dominate the main street after eight centuries. Mullingar lies 20 kilometres southeast for amenities, while the R394 connects to smaller farming communities. Golf courses at Headfort and swimming facilities in Mullingar serve the area.
