Delportshoop

Delportshoop is a small Vaal River dorpie in the Northern Cape, reached via the R64 off the N12 between Kimberley and Warrenton. Barkly West is a quick 31 km hop for locals, while Kimberley, 69 km off, is your nearest big town and airport stop (about 78 km total). Some travellers even trek in from as far as Gauteng for weekends. No EV chargers here, so juice up in Kimberley first. Fun fact: the town grew around an old wagon drift on the Vaal, used long before today's bridge.
