Deiniolen

Deiniolen lies beneath Snowdonia's peaks along the A4244 between Caernarfon and Llanberis. Reach it via the A55 to Junction 11, then southwest on the A4244. The village sits amid the terraced remains of Dinorwig Quarry, once the world's second-largest slate quarry, whose dramatic stepped cliffs still dominate the hillside above.
