Crask lies in Scotland's far north along the dramatic Sutherland coast, where moorland meets the North Sea. Reached via the A99 coastal road and A836 from Bettyhill, it's roughly two and a half hours from Inverness through some of the Highlands' most remote terrain. The name derives from the Gaelic "crasg," meaning crossing place, marking where ancient paths once met near the Naver River estuary.
