Coupeville, WA

Coupeville sits on Whidbey Island, about 60 miles north of Seattle via Highway 20 and the Deception Pass Bridge. You can also reach it by taking the Mukilteo ferry to Clinton, then driving north. The town serves as Island County's seat and features one of the state's best-preserved Victorian waterfronts. Historic buildings line Penn Cove, where original 1850s pier pilings still jut from the mudflats.
