Corrour
Scotland
Corrour occupies one of Scotland's most isolated spots, perched on the edge of Rannoch Moor in the heart of the Highlands. Most visitors arrive via lengthy drives from Fort William (56km via A82) or through the A86 corridor from the south, as this isn't somewhere you pop to for milk. The settlement sits at considerable altitude where Highland weather shifts without warning, and winter driving demands respect. Remarkably, Britain's most remote railway station lies nearby, reachable only by train or on foot despite being mere kilometres from the road.
