About Cornsay

Cornsay is a former pit village in County Durham, about 10 miles west of Durham city via the A691. The village sits in the Deerness Valley amongst typical Pennine countryside. Most routes are local connections under 20 miles to places like Lanchester and Esh, though the A691 links to the A1(M) for longer journeys.
