Chillaton

Chillaton is a small Devon village near Dartmoor's western edge, reached via minor roads off the A386 between Tavistock and Okehampton. From Plymouth, take the A386 north through Tavistock; from Exeter, follow the A30 to Okehampton then south on the A386. The 13th-century church of St. Bartholomew houses a magnificent medieval rood screen with original painted saint panels.
