Chelmondiston

Chelmondiston occupies the Shotley Peninsula in Suffolk, roughly 10 miles southeast of Ipswich between the Rivers Orwell and Stour. Reach it via the B1456 from Ipswich, connecting to the A14 for longer distances or the A137 through Manningtree. The village is notable for the Royal Hospital School, whose red-brick buildings and chapel tower dominate the peninsula skyline.
