Charfield is a South Gloucestershire village positioned between the M4 and M5 motorways, about 20 miles from Bristol. Access via the A38 from either Gloucester (north) or Bristol (south), with M4 connections through Junction 18 and the A46. The village sits in gentle Cotswolds foothills with rolling farmland typical of western England. Charfield railway station was the site of a mysterious 1928 train disaster, with two unidentified victims still buried in the local churchyard.
