Challacombe

Challacombe perches on Exmoor's edge in North Devon, a moorland village at 1,000 feet with sweeping views across the heath. Reach it via the A39 to Blackmoor Gate, then the A399 towards Lynton before turning off onto local roads. The church houses an exceptional 15th-century rood screen, amongst Devon's finest medieval woodwork.
