3About Carolusberg
Carolusberg is a small copper-mining dorpie near Springbok in Namaqualand, easy to reach off the N7 which runs the length of the Northern Cape. Locals dash between Springbok, Okiep, Nababeep and Concordia most days, all under 30 km away, while Springbok Airport is just 13 km off for those flying in. Long-haul visitors sometimes roll through en route to spots like Laingsburg or Copperton. Fill up in Springbok, chargers are scarce out here. The town's claim to fame is its old copper mine, once run by the O'okiep Copper Company.
