Caputh is a small Tay Valley village just off the A9 near Dunkeld, about 15km north of Perth. Most visitors arrive via the A9 then local roads, whilst locals use the A93 through Stanley. The village's claim to fame is its 1765 single-lane stone bridge across the Tay, still in daily use despite its narrow width.
