Cambois is a former mining village on the Northumberland coast, about 20 miles north of Newcastle. Drive via the A189 from Newcastle, then join the A1068 coastal road near Ashington. The village sits beside the Blyth Estuary, where the enormous concrete cooling towers of the old power station were demolished in 2019.
